๐๐๐ฅ๐ค ๐๐จ ๐๐ - This one is for the fans of Slow Burn movies. I think pinanood lang to ng mga tao dahil sa hype and it's from A24 but tbh it's not that great of a horror film?
Hindi na ko magtataka at medyo weird gumawa ng films ang Au. Pero not bad for an Indie.
Kung may pintas ako, it's that hindi sympathetic figure yung main protagonist ng pelikula.
Medyo naging predictable at logic-defying yung latter part ng pelikula. I enjoyed the first half somehow, although medyo mabagal yung set up. with only 90 minutes run time, nabagot ako after i-reveal yung threat nung embalmed hand.
If they will touch on the back story of the hand sa sequel, I might watch again. ๐/๐๐

Pinanuod ko 'to kasi based sa libro ni Bob Ong bilang Bob Ong fan na talaga ako ever since. Kaso hindi nabigyan ng hustisya ng gumawa nung movie. Madaming unresolved issues, magugulat ka na lang tapos na pala sayang talaga. Sayang oras ko

Ito naman title pa lang parang korny na panuorin pero hindi pala horror sya na comedy. Walang patay na oras talagang mapapatutok ka at matatawa

The lead actress played the role incredibly awesome like super galing niya.

Kung nagustuhan mo yung Block Z nuon. Medyo ganun din yung plot nung movie. Different director lang pero mukhang same writer maganda naman sya, mas realistic kasi mismong sa city na sya nangyari. Mapapaisip ka talaga kung handa ka na ba pag magka zombie apocalypse na sa bansa

Iniskip ko na agad sa ending. Ewan ko, nawawalan na ko ng interest sa mga MCU/Marvel-related movies & projects recently. Wala naman kasing kaabang-abang eh. Watching their movies is starting to feel like a chore. Di na enjoyable, kasama na 'to. Felt obligated to watch this (and a bit curious din) since I honestly enjoyed Into The Spider-Verse.

Sequel sya ng Here comes the Bride nila Angelica Panganiban. I don't know if its just me pero tawang tawa talaga on this. Ang gagaling umarte nung mga lalaki to bading or vise versa worth the watch sya. It also teaches how the gays are being treated outside and how one should respect them with equality.

Okay yung sequence ng story, though hinahanap ko yung gulat factor talaga. Yung ibang scene kasi na supposed to be thrilling parang hindi na nakakagulat kasi obvious na kung ano mangyayari.

Based siya sa sci-fi novel ni Frank Herbert. Tungkol sya sa feudal interstellar societies that are at war against each other.
Para siyang Game of Thrones na may halong Star Wars.
Although hindi ko nabasa yung libro so di ko alam kung accurate yung representation ng pelikula sa ideas at kultura nung mga characters, naamaze ako sa costume and set design ng pelikulang to.
Maraming sci-fi films pero distinct yung look ng Dune and that's one of the things that sets it apart IMO.
Ang ganda rin ng cinematography at ang immersive nung pelikula na parang aatakehin ka ng asthma sa alikabok ng Arrakis.
Star-studded cast din sya. Pero given na sprawling sci-fi epic siya, hindi talaga lahat mabibigyan ng adequate screen time. Walang artista na nag stand out probably liban kay Timothee Chalamet pero perfect yung casting all throughout.
